For an exciting range of shows about the many wonders of the night sky, come to the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester, located to the south of the City on the campus of the Chichester High Schools. The Planetarium is a registered educational charity, which is run by a small team of experienced and dedicated volunteers. The Planetarium operates throughout the year, but is not open every day. Members of the public are welcome to visit the Planetarium at the times of the public shows.

All shows at the South Downs Planetarium are suitable for would-be stargazers aged 7 and upwards. Centrepiece of the auditorium is the magnificent star projector which displays over 4,500 pinpoint stars on the dome above your head. With its 100-seater auditorium and magnificent star projector, colourful exhibits, well-stocked shop, library and computer displays, the Planetarium has something for all the family. There is free car parking adjacent to the Planetarium building, easy access for the disabled, and it is only a short walk from rail and bus stations. We offer 10% discount on any purchases from our shop for Coastliner 700 customers.

Customers must produce a valid bus ticket, valid for the same day to qualify for the discount.
